Coverage for houses and townhouses, including driveways, garages, entrances, backyards and exterior approaches.

Camera positioning, cabling, network configuration, recording setup and testing are planned around the system you agree to install.
For homeowners
A useful home camera system starts with the places you want to see clearly: a front entrance, driveway, garage, side gate, backyard or another exterior approach. CIP helps plan practical coverage for existing homes where cable routes may need careful coordination, as well as new construction and renovation projects where wiring can be planned early.
We can discuss local recording, night visibility, remote viewing, camera positioning and whether a wired or wireless approach makes sense for your property. Wired PoE cameras can combine power and data on one cable; wireless options may be appropriate in some locations but depend on reliable network coverage.

For commercial properties, camera planning can involve entrances, stock areas, service counters, offices, loading zones, warehouse floors, parking areas and other operational spaces. CIP supports camera and recording infrastructure within agreed Division 28 electronic-security scope, coordinating network and cabling requirements with the building and project team.
Commercial systems may require more extensive coverage planning, coordinated cable pathways, multiple user access and recording requirements. CIP reviews the property, the intended coverage and relevant site constraints before confirming the installation scope.

The installation plan considers camera height, sightlines, lighting and the areas that need coverage. Proper placement matters as much as the camera itself, especially for entrances, driveways, parking areas and large interior spaces.
IP and PoE systems commonly use a single network cable to connect a camera for both data and power. CIP coordinates cable routing, camera connections, network interfaces and the recorder connection for the agreed scope.
A network video recorder (NVR) or supported local recording solution can store footage on-site. Storage requirements, retention expectations and access needs should be discussed before equipment is selected.
If you have an older camera system, CIP can review what is installed and help define an upgrade path. The right approach depends on existing cable condition, camera locations, recording equipment and the coverage you need now.

Wired systems commonly provide the most predictable connection and can use a single network cable for both power and data with PoE cameras. Wireless may suit some locations, but its reliability depends on the home or building network and the mounting location.
That depends on the property layout, entrances, driveway or yard coverage, interior areas and what you need to monitor. A quote conversation starts with the areas you want covered, not a preset package.
Often, yes. CIP can review the existing cabling, camera positions, recorder and network setup to determine whether an upgrade can reuse useful infrastructure or should be planned as a new installation.
Remote viewing and mobile access can be configured when supported by the selected system and the project scope. Access and network requirements are discussed during planning.
Usually. Homes often focus on exterior approaches and everyday access, while commercial sites may need wider coverage, multiple users, longer recording requirements, network coordination and integration with other building systems.
